Regency Dental Hygiene Centres

Our team is comprised of Registered Dental Hygienists (registered members of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario) who graduated from Regency Dental Hygiene Academy.

They have completed three semesters of intensive education in everything from Dental Hygiene Research to Microbiology to Oral and Dental Anatomy and Pharmacology. While in school they were required to successfully complete 690 hours of clinical practice and over 100 hours of clinical observation and oral education in the community.

Through the research of students and faculty, Regency has become aware of the need to increase oral health education and improve access to care in the Greater Toronto Area; Regency Dental Hygiene Centres was started with this in mind. Graduates are assigned a one year opportunity to be part of this unique enterprise. During their time in the Centres, they will treat clients (patients), volunteer in the broader community and take various courses to enhance their already extensive knowledge base.

Regency Dental Hygiene Academy has been in existence for over six years and has over 400 graduates practicing across Canada and the United States.

The Mission of the school is to develop and support strong community-focused professionals to serve the preventative oral health care needs of citizens while advocating for solid and meaningful changes to public policy.

We believe these Centres will provide our graduates with opportunities to give back to the community while further developing their appreciation for the needs of their fellow citizens. We believe Centres such as this are the future for the delivery of meaningful oral care and we are committed to partnering with our graduates to serve the needs of the community.
